WESLEY’S SOCIAL GROUP SEPTEMBER EVENT – Friday, September 19th at 12:30 pm.
All Wesley adults are invited to a trip to Tygart Valley for lunch and to enjoy outdoor attractions. Both the church bus and carpooling will be traveling; plans depend on how many are attending and who all is available to drive. We hope you will make plans to join us!
WORLD COMMUNION SUNDAY – Sunday, October 5th. This day is celebrated annually on the first Sunday of October and encourages Christian unity by affirming fellowship and sharing in Christ’s communion worldwide. Come join us at one of our morning services!
BLESSING OF THE PETS – Sunday, October 5th at 2:00 pm. This annual “Blessing of the Pets” will be held at the Marketplace Pavilion located downtown on Spruce Street. Donations of dog/cat food and/or kitty litter will be accepted. Bring your furry one(s)!
WORSHIP AND PICNIC IN THE PARK – Sunday, October 12th at 10:30 a.m. Come join us for one service that Sunday at Westside Senior Center in Westover. (No worship services at Wesley Church that day). Church picnic to follow. More information will be forthcoming.
WESLEY BOOK CLUB – Do you like small group gatherings? Do you want to meet and get to know fellow Wesley folks better? Do you hope for a deeper walk with God? If you answer “YES” to any of these questions, consider being a part of a Book Club originating at Wesley. Mary Ragland will be the group facilitator. We may meet in person or by Zoom, according to the will of the group. We hope to begin by the first of October by discussing The Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence. WESLEY CHURCH CHARGE CONFERENCE – Thursday, October 16th at 6:00 pm at the church. Mark your calendars now: our annual Charge Conference will be led for the first time by our new Superintendent Stephanie Bennett. Come see what’s going on, and find your place in God’s work through Wesley UMC.
WOMEN OF FAITH EVENT – Tuesday, October 21st. This event hosted by Wesley UWF will be held at St. Mary’s Peace Hall. Food, fellowship, raffles, and quite raffle will occur. More details will be forthcoming – so save the date!
