Prayer Christmas Tree – the lit Christmas tree in the back of the sanctuary is ready for your Christmas prayer! Please write your prayer intention on paper, place inside clear plastic Christmas ball ornament and hang on the tree.  All prayer intentions will be private and not seen by anyone.  Pastor Martha will pray over all prayer requests on Sunday, December 28th at the 10:30 a.m. ONE SERVICE ONLY.

Friday, December 12th – Chime Recital and Christmas Sing-A-Long at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.  Jesse Ratcliff, carillonneur and native of Hinton, West Virginia will offer a short program that will include familiar Christmas pieces on Wesley’s Chimes as solos interspersed with Christmas song sing-a-longs.  Grab your friends and family and head on over to Wesley UMC to participate in some Christmas fun.  Hope to see you there!

Friday, December 12th – Social Group Christmas Party (immediately following the above Chime Recital). All Wesley adults are invited to bring a snack/dessert to share with everyone AND a $10 Gift Exchange if you want to participate! Sunday, December 14thThird Sunday of Advent

No Advent Sunday School this day.

Christmas Cookie Exchange! Looking for a few good bakers for a Wesley Cookie Exchange on Sunday, Dec. 14th.  Sign-ups are in the Lecture Room or email Kristi DeLeurere at intrigue329@yahoo.com.  A Christmas craft and cookie exchange will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Loft.  In addition to a dozen of cookies per each sign-up, we ask all bakers that participate to bring one extra dozen of cookies for Fellowship Time directly following our Christmas Cantata—ONE SERVICE at 10:30 a.m. 

Friday, December 19th – Rhythms of the Holidays Concert at 7:00 pm. Bring in the holiday spirit with the sounds of Steel Drums performing many holiday selections. Fun for the whole family!

Sunday, December 21stFourth Sunday of Advent (8:30 and 11:00 am services). Final Advent Sunday School for all ALL ages at 9:30 am in the Lecture Room

Tuesday, December 23rd – Blue Christmas Service. This year’s service will be held at Spruce Street UMC at 6:30 pm. The holiday season can be one of the most difficult times of the year for people who are experiencing various kinds of loss. A Blue Christmas service is a place to acknowledge the entirety of feelings that Christmas can engender in us, to ground our experience in the Biblical witness, and to find God’s grace in the midst of pain. Join us for a Blue Christmas service to deepen and focus your Christmas experience.

Wednesday, December 24thChildren’s Christmas Eve Service at 5:30 pm. Attention children, families, and creative minds-our Children’s Christmas Eve service is the place for you! We’ll gather and travel to each of 5 stations where we’ll hear and help to illustrate a portion of the Christmas story. We’ll have fun retelling the Christmas story from the group pictures, and we’ll share our artwork with the whole church after we’ve created it. Don’t miss it!

Wednesday, December 24th – Communion and Candlelight Service at 7:00 pm. The Biblical story will be read; carols will be sung; and we’ll share in the Sacrament of Holy Communion and a service of candle lighting. This traditional service is a highlight of the year-see you there.

Thursday, December 25th – CM&A Community Christmas Dinner from 12:00-2:00 pm in the Wesley UMC gym. This meal is open free to the Morgantown Community. Sit down and to-go meals will be served.

Sunday, December 28th serviceOutdoor Service at 10:30 am at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park located downtown. Join us for Christmas caroling and cookies! No indoor services at Wesley this day.
