As February unfolds, Wesley United Methodist Church centers its life together on the call to love: love that reflects God’s boundless grace and honors the dignity of every person. In a season often associated with Valentine’s Day, the congregation is invited to consider love not only as affection, but as faithful action: resisting cruelty and exclusion, standing against injustice, and living out Christ’s command to love one another fully and without condition.
The month also marks the beginning of Lent, a sacred season of reflection and renewal. On Ash Wednesday, February 18, we offer opportunities for prayer, repentance, and recommitment through the distribution of ashes and an evening worship service. Throughout February, you are encouraged to deepen your faith through worship, Sunday School for all ages, and Bible studies that foster learning, dialogue, and spiritual growth across generations.
Our commitment to service and compassion remains a visible expression of its faith. Outreach ministries such as the Backpack Feeding Program at Scott’s Run, the Souper Bowl of Caring, Circle of Friends meals, and more reflect an ongoing dedication to addressing hunger and supporting neighbors in need.
We continue to live into our calling: growing in faith, serving with love, and walking together as a community shaped by Christ’s hope.
