Concert in the Loft: Schnell and Paris

Concerts in the Loft is a free live music series that brings the community together through performances by local and regional artists. These concerts create a welcoming space for connection, creativity, and fellowship while supporting the arts in Morgantown.

The Morgantown duo of Schnell & Paris combines the instrumental, vocal, and songwriting talents of guitarist Terry Schnell and pianist Steve Paris. Together, they deliver acoustic classics, rarely covered gems, and compelling originals that take the listener from a Chicago music club to a cottage on the Oregon coast and out onto the metaphoric sea of life.

Terry’s voice has drawn comparisons to James Taylor, with a guitar style ranging from nimble fingerpicking to percussive strumming. Steve, a veteran of several bands, builds beautifully on Terry’s foundations with masterful piano accompaniment, rocking solos, and tasteful vocal harmonies.
